In 2002 I started Shane Ohlson Music in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to service the needs of the local music scene.  The town is located in an area that has mostly been lacking in qualified piano tuners.  The town and surrounding areas has many schools, not to mention Universities and churches.  The need was great!

I have always had a fascination with, among other things, piano technology.  Some of that fascination grew from a family history in the piano business.  My third great grandfather owned a piano factory in Stuttgart, Germany.  The company was the Schönleber and Keppler Company.  The factory no longer exists.  However, they were innovative in many facets.  As it turns out, I have inherited one of their pianos.  I grew up playing that very fine instrument.  Go here for more info and some great pictures:  http://shanespianos.weebly.com/schoumlnleber--keppler.html

I continued to successfully serve the northeast Oklahoma region until my wife completed her master of science degree in the area of Speech Language Pathology and we moved to Wichita Falls, Texas in April of 2009.

This is now the home of Wichita Falls Piano!  I am also now a certified installer of the Piano Life Saver system!  I highly recommend that my customers consider this system.  It's extremely important for residents of North Texas where it typically very dry. 

I am a Registered Piano Technician member of the Piano Technicians Guild.  I regularly attend seminars and conventions to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies in piano tuning, repair and regulation.  I have passed three rigorous examinations to qualify for RPT status. 

I've expanded the business to a physical location at 1509 Beverly Drive.  At the new shop, I repair, regulate, tune, refurbish, rebuild and even sell pianos!  Call or email me for an appointment anytime.
